Welcoming Layla to Wyndham Harbour: A New Chapter in Community & Wellbeing

At Wyndham Harbour, we see community as more than just a place — it’s about connecting with others and being part of something local.
That’s why we’re incredibly excited to introduce something new to our waterfront: community yoga sessions at Elements Café & Mini Golf, led by the wonderful Layla.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been engaging with many of you through our Wyndham Harbour & Surrounding Communities Facebook group — and the response has been nothing short of outstanding. The enthusiasm around bringing yoga to the harbour has truly shown how much our community values health, wellbeing, and shared experiences.
Meet Layla
We feel very lucky to have Layla joining us to guide these sessions.
For Layla, yoga is far more than what we often see online. It’s a practice that brings together the body and mind, grounded in science, history, and self-awareness. What stands out most is her belief that yoga is personal, empowering, and accessible to everyone — no matter where you’re starting from.
Her approach focuses on consistency over intensity, creating a space where people can return to their practice at any stage of life, whether during times of stress, change, or growth.
What to Expect from the Classes
Layla’s teaching style blends mindfulness and movement in a way that supports focus, nervous system regulation, and body awareness. Her sessions are designed to build confidence and create a sense of safety in the body, allowing progression to happen naturally over time.
These classes will be gentle and beginner-friendly, making them suitable for anyone, particularly those who have never tried yoga before. As Layla puts it, “It’s simply a place to arrive as you are. There’s no expectation to be flexible or experienced — just showing up is enough.”

This initiative is about more than just yoga. It reflects a broader goal of creating opportunities for people to connect, encouraging healthy and balanced lifestyles, and providing a space where individuals can slow down and reset.
We’ve seen firsthand how much people are seeking these kinds of experiences — a chance to step away from the pace of daily life and reconnect, not just with themselves, but with others around them. Bringing the community together in a meaningful and accessible way is at the heart of what we’re building here at Wyndham Harbour.
