There’s something special about taking a deep breath by the water, and soon you’ll be able to do just that with a little extra guidance.
We’re excited to introduce breathwork and meditation sessions at Wyndham Harbour, led by experienced facilitator Carly Bickerton. These sessions are designed to help you slow down, reset, and reconnect with yourself and those around you.
A Practice That Comes From Real Life
Carly brings a background in disability and mental health services, where she works as a regional manager supporting others every day. Like many people in caring roles, she understands what it feels like to give so much to others and forget to take care of yourself.
After experiencing burnout, Carly discovered breathwork and meditation. The shift came through small, consistent changes such as creating a morning routine, spending time in nature, stepping away from her phone, and learning how to use her breath with intention.
This allowed her to feel more grounded and present, and ultimately show up better in both her personal and professional life.
Now, she is passionate about sharing these tools with others.
Why Breathwork?
In today’s fast-paced world, many of us operate in a constant state of stress. Our bodies can respond as though we are in danger, even when it’s something as simple as an email or a busy schedule.
Carly’s sessions focus on gentle, accessible breathwork techniques that help regulate the nervous system. By learning how to work with your breath, you can reduce anxiety, feel more present, and create a sense of calm when you need it most. The breath becomes an anchor you can return to at any time.
A Space for Everyone
Carly prides herself on creating sessions that are inclusive and welcoming to all. No prior experience is needed, and people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities are encouraged to join.
Her approach is gentle and supportive, offering a space where you can simply arrive as you are. Whether you choose to sit, lie down, or quietly observe, the sessions are designed to meet you where you’re at.
More Than Just a Session — It’s Community
Connection is at the heart of what Carly creates. Each session includes a simple opportunity for participants to connect, whether through a walk and conversation or guided prompts that encourage meaningful interaction.
Carly recognises that loneliness can affect people even when they are surrounded by others. Her goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where people feel comfortable being themselves, sharing openly, and realising they are not alone.
There is something powerful about coming together as a group and building genuine connections through shared experience.

What to Expect
Sessions will be held in a relaxed and welcoming environment at Wyndham Harbour. You are encouraged to bring a mat or blanket and settle in comfortably. Carly will guide you through gentle breathwork and meditation, with optional connection activities at the beginning of each session.
Group sizes will be kept to a maximum of 25 to 30 people to maintain an intimate atmosphere, with a suitable undercover space available when needed. Carly also plans to incorporate crystal singing bowls and sound bath experiences into future sessions.
Why It Matters
Carly is passionate about helping people understand that taking time for themselves is essential. When you prioritise your own wellbeing, you are better able to support others and navigate daily life with more ease.
These sessions are an opportunity to pause, breathe, and reconnect in a meaningful and accessible way.
