Strengthening Community Connections at Wyndham Harbour

At Elements Café & Mini Golf at Wyndham Harbour, we recognise our space has the ability to serve the community in many different ways.
While we are known as a waterfront café, the space itself offers something broader — a place where people can gather, connect, support one another and build a stronger sense of community here in Werribee South.

The setting at Wyndham Harbour naturally lends itself to this. With open space, views across the bay and a relaxed environment, it creates an opportunity for people to spend time together in a way that feels welcoming and accessible.
After attending VTIC recently, we felt inspired to step back and look again at the bigger picture of how spaces like ours can support the community around them. Wyndham Harbour has always had the potential to be a place where people connect, and we are excited to continue developing that role in meaningful ways.
One group we have especially loved seeing more of at Elements Cafe recently is mothers and young children. There is something really special about the rhythm that naturally forms when parents meet, children play and families share time together by the water. It reminds us how important community spaces are for people going through similar stages of life to find connection and support.
Each Thursday morning from 10am to 12pm we host Playgroup by the Bay at Elements, a relaxed and nature-inspired playgroup for children aged 0–5 and their caregivers. The playgroup creates a welcoming environment where families can enjoy outdoor play, creative activities and conversation with other parents while their children explore and play nearby.

We are also proud to support Wyndham City Council’s Community Connectors program. Louisa Muscat joins us at Elements each Wednesday morning from 8am to 12pm, offering free and confidential support to help residents connect with local services across Wyndham. Having this program available within our space is another way we hope to contribute practically to the wellbeing and connection of the local community.

These gatherings are small examples of something we care deeply about: creating a space that people can rely on. A place where locals know they can come regularly, where conversations happen naturally, and where families and community members can connect with one another.
As we look ahead, we would love to hear more from the community about how we can continue shaping Wyndham Harbour together.
With Easter weekend approaching, we are interested in hearing from locals about how previous Easter events at Wyndham Harbour have felt and what people would enjoy seeing more of in the future.
With Mother’s Day not far away, we are also keen to hear from the mothers in our community about what kind of gathering would feel most meaningful. Some people have suggested the idea of a Paint and Sip event at 3030 Waterfront, while others may prefer something held within the relaxed setting of Elements Café itself, or perhaps something that allows mothers and children to celebrate together by the bay.

Werribee South and the wider Wyndham area are home to such a diverse and welcoming community. Our hope is that Elements and Wyndham Harbour continue to grow as spaces that reflect and support that community, offering somewhere people can gather, connect and feel part of something local.
If you are part of the Wyndham community, we would genuinely love to hear from you and learn what you would like to see more of at Wyndham Harbour in the future.
