Smooth Sailing School at WH

Smooth Sailing School is run by two friends, Oscar and Tom, who sailed together as kids on Lake Hume in North East Victoria. They later moved to Melbourne for university and began working for Australian Sailing at The BoatShed at Albert Park Lake as sailing instructors. During this time, The BoatShed ran regional initiatives, using two trailers carrying 18 boats to yacht clubs, schools, and camps that could not facilitate the programs themselves.

When The BoatShed decided to divest from their regional programs and focus on their core activities at Albert Park Lake, Oscar and Tom stepped up and purchased the boats.

Smooth Sailing School is now the only company in Victoria offering mobile sailing programs, having run programs at 13 locations across the state, including right here at Wyndham Harbour Marina.

Their programs cater to all ages and skill levels, from kids taking their first steps into sailing to adults seeking to sharpen their skills. With the calm, protected waters of the marina, beginners can learn with confidence in a safe and supportive environment. For more experienced sailors, venturing beyond the harbour provides the thrill of open-water challenges.
