Marinas 26 Conference & Trade Show

Our Marina Manager Allan Cayzer attended the Marinas 26 Conference and Trade Show held on the Gold Coast from May 24th till May 27th. There were 385 Marina Industry professionals from every Australian State as well as Thailand, the Pacific Island regions, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, The Middle East and Taiwan attending the four day event.


The Conference opened with a Demographer giving a data-driven explanation into the Demographic Insights shaping the future of Boating.


The NAB Senior Economist then provided an insight into economic conditions shaping the operating environment for Australian and Asia-Pacific marina businesses. The session covered the key drivers of the economic outlook.


A session on Redeveloping ageing Marina Assets highlighted the extensive work happening on the Gold Coast Spit area and the incredible push for Superyacht berths. Allan was fortunate to visit these projects on the final day of the Conference.



The session on Practical AI applications for Marinas highlighted what would be possible as AI was introduced into our Industry.


Insurance and Legal experts gave an analysis of Risks on the Waterfront and Legal Strategies. The need to listen to and learn from these experts never ends.



The Future of Boatyards is being driven by new technologies, evolving environmental compliance and shifting workforce dynamics.


A session on Innovation and new Technologies emerging in the operation of Marinas was enlightening.


The Certified Marina Managers session held on the first day of the Conference was highlighted by reports from Managers on their states, regions and countries. Allan presented his report on the State of our Industry in Victoria including looking at new developments and the issues they face from concept to completion.
