AUS Triathlon

Wyndham will host the Wyndham Harbour Triathlon, featuring both para and vision-impaired triathletes, as well as experienced and novice able-bodied competitors. Set in the picturesque Wyndham Harbour in Werribee South, the event takes place on Saturday, December 16. The inaugural competition was inspired by the success of a junior national triathlon event held on Werribee South Beach last year, and Murray Newham from Aus Triathlon saw an opportunity to bring senior competition to Wyndham and the western suburbs.The event will be contested over the sprint distance of 750m swim, 20km bike, and 5km run. Adding to the prestige of the competition is that it doubles as the Australian Paratriathlon and Australian Intellectual Impairment Championships. Both national title races will kick off at 9am, followed by community races featuring experienced and novice triathletes, as well as teams, competing over the super sprint distance.

IMPORTANT TO MARINA MEMBERS: The road closure will be Saturday 8:00am to 3:00pm. We will have athletes on the course at 9:00am-11:00am12:00pm-2:00pm Outside these times and during Road Closure we will be facilitating access in and out of Wyndham Harbour for Residences. Members in hardstand will have controlled access from 7AM onwards.
