The Boating Industry Association of Victoria (BIAV) has announced that RACV Marine is the new naming rights sponsor of the RACV Marine 2018 Melbourne Boat Show.
The RACV Marine Melbourne Boat Show, in its 58th year, will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, June 28 – July 1.
Over 21,000 visitors are expected to attend the four-day Show that this year will enjoy a Thursday to Sunday ‘window’, maximising the Thursday/Friday business opportunities, and culminating with a weekend conclusion. As many as 120 exhibitors are expected to take part, with floor space already 95% booked out.
RACV General Manager Marine Neil James commented, “RACV and our marine division are very pleased to commence this important partnership with the Melbourne Boat Show which is a Melbourne institution. We look forward to working with the industry to further develop and enhance the show and boating in general. We also look forward to helping many of our 2.2M members to access and enjoy boating.”
RACV Marine form a part of the RACV business which touches a great majority of Victorian households, including services in roadside assistance, finance, resorts, battery and insurance. RACV e-news enjoys a readership of 400,000 and this is complemented by over 2M website page impressions per month and 100,000 social media ‘followers’. As an additional benefit of the new partnership, BIAV members, as part of the arrangement, will enjoy discounted advertising across these prolific platforms.
The RACV is a very well-known and trusted brand in Victoria and beyond and is an excellent fit for the Show and for the boating industry. RACV Marine is a major player in Victoria’s $4.5B boating industry which is an overall employer the equivalent of 17,000 full-time jobs in Victoria, across many disciplines.
“A fantastic show is expected in 2018 and the connection to the RACV membership of over 2.2M in the state will further enhance this”, says BIAV CEO Steve Walker. Adding, “We are absolutely delighted to partner with a leading Victorian brand with such a strong presence across marine, auto, insurance, and resorts, as well as across print and other media. We expect RACV to help us to bring further attention to the Show and attract new interest and additional visitors.”
