SEA and DO
Things to sea and do
At Wyndham Harbour
Your chance to try your hand at sailing under the guidance of an experienced RYA Yachtmaster Instructor at a more than reasonable rate. You’ll be given a short lesson on the basics of sailing and safety aboard a cruising yacht and then the opportunity to try your hand at working the sails and steering the yacht. All sessions are subject to suitable weather conditions to make sure you enjoy your first sailing experience.
At Wyndham Harbour
The Wyndham Harbour Sailing School is operated by Robert Bradley from Sail Escapade, is supporting women in sailing by making vessels available for the Port Phillip women’s series. Competing in the Australian Women’s Keelboat regatta and a variety of local activities at Wyndham Harbour our Women’s Sailing Team encourages more participation in sailing for women but also for their families. These yachts are big enough to keep you dry and ideal for keeping yourself active as they require less mobility than their smaller dinghy cousins.
The competition activities are supplemented by training sessions both on and off water for things like starting maneuvers, mark rounding and racing rules for novices. Everyone is welcome (we even have room for a bloke or two), we prefer that you are a member of a yacht club but if not that’s OK.
Add yourself to our mailing list here or follow the Sail Escapade Facebook page to keep up with our events.
